SubEditor

A mini-editor with real editorial authority. It takes your draft to publication-ready, zero-defect copy — corrected, not replaced.

01

Start a job

SubEditor edits an existing piece of writing. Give the desk your brief and your manuscript — the feasibility check and quote are free, before any payment.

Free. No card needed at this step. Manuscripts up to 1,00,000 words.

02

How it works

  1. 1

    Brief the desk

Purpose, format, target word count, and your manuscript. SubEditor never writes from a blank page — it edits what you bring.

  2. 2

    Free feasibility check

Before payment, the desk reads your piece and judges whether your word target is realistic for what it actually contains. An unrealistic brief is declined, not charged.

  3. 3

    Quote and payment

A firm quote from your target word count and tier. GST-inclusive, charged upfront.

  4. 4

    The edit

One continuous editorial session: structure, voice, accuracy, legality, mechanics — with proofreading folded into the same pass, the way a real desk works.

  5. 5

    The quality gate

A genuinely separate second read decides whether the piece ships. A piece that does not clear the desk is held — and a human takes over.

  6. 6

    Delivery

Publication-ready copy in Word, Markdown, and plain text, with headline options and an editorial remarks log. Guest links stay live for 7 days; an account keeps them longer.
